Carlin Style Gold Mining Project
In the high-sulfur and high-arsenic Carlin-type sulfide gold project in China, 90% of the gold is enclosed in pyrite. The ore is ground to a particle size of -0.45mm and is subjected to F13 spiral roughing. The gold concentrate yield is 17%, the gold grade is up graded from 0.89ppm to 4.4ppm (enriched 5 times), the recovery rate is 87.11%, and 83% of the tailings are successfully pre-discarded, which reduces the cost of subsequent flotation reagents.
Cobalt Project in Australia
Using Alicoco’s spiral concentrator, it is possible to efficiently produce a cobalt concentrate with a grade of 0.3-0.4% and a yield of 17% from raw ore containing only 0.03% cobalt. During the rougher stage, 83% of the tailings are directly discarded, while the cobalt recovery rate exceeds 92%. This represents a critical step in confirming the economic viability of this Australian cobalt project. It significantly reduces costs for subsequent cobalt flotation processes, and this low-cost production method—combining gravity separation and flotation—is essential for supplying higher-grade raw materials to refineries. This stands in sharp contrast to other cobalt projects, which have limited options for purifying raw ore (such as laterite ore) prior to metallurgical processing.
Vanadium-titanium ore project
The spiral sluice gate roughing process for ilmenite tailings from the Panzhihua vanadium-titanium magnetite mine yields a feed titanium grade of 2.6915%, a rough concentrate yield of 20.71% (titanium grade 5.4172%, recovery rate 41.67%), and a tailings yield of 79.29% (titanium grade 1.98%, recovery rate 58.33%). This process is a crucial pre-selection stage for the resource utilization of titanium resources in tailings, achieving initial enrichment of titanium resources and removal of gangue, providing qualified feedstock for subsequent beneficiation and supporting the improvement of overall titanium resource recovery efficiency.
Scheelite Tailling recycle Project
By ALICOCO’s type F spiral in rougher and type H spiral in scavenger to processing scheelite tailings, it has reduced the tungsten grade of the tailings from 0.12% to 0.018%, and the tungsten concentrate recovery rate has reached 81.68%, exceeding the recovery rate of the flotation process.
Tin Mine Project
For tin ore beneficiation, type F13 spiral concentrator outperforms traditional wet shaking tables and can recover fine particles (800 mesh, 0.019mm) of tin ore that escape from wet shaking table tailings, thereby improving resource utilization.
Chromite Project
In South Africa, chromite recycle from platinum tailings with a particle size of -0.038mm,could up grade the chromite till 48% and platinum was also enriched to 2 ppm+.
Copper Ore Project
In a malachite (a type of copper oxide ore) raw ore project in Zambia, aiming at the low-grade raw ore with a copper grade of only 0.4%, the spiral gravity separation process was adopted for pre-enrichment operation. This process achieves efficient separation by virtue of the difference in mineral density, effectively removes gangue impurities, and finally increases the copper grade of the roughly separated malachite concentrate to 5.2%.
Quartz Sand Project
The F8 spiral is used to process quartz sand, achieving a quartz sand concentrate yield of 80%, with impurities of iron and titanium <300ppm and a silicon content of 99.96%. It is also very effective in removing mica flakes from high-purity quartz sand.
Coal-Fired Desulfurization Project
The mainstream wet and dry desulfurization methods in power plants are post-combustion desulfurization, which has problems like large investment, high costs and difficult operation & maintenance. The innovative pre-combustion solution: wash coal with M5 type spiral machines for desulfurization after coal grinding, while recovering pyrite and ash; the calorific value of refined coal powder increases by 30%, and fly ash storage yards are reduced by 70%.
